Open Source Scholarship again...
This topic seems to have hit a nerve, Mark Goodacre
makes some useful points about quality, and reminds us of Matt O'Donnell's OpenText.org
project, sadly just a holding page at present. Though, thinking of some of the responses I hear to proposals for open scholarship I do wonder if "threatening" does not describe at least part of the established scholarly response to such proposals...

joins in with a longish and equally stimulating contribution
. I haven't had time to digest and reflect on all that he says (I have some traditional paper scholarship to attend to urgently) - expect more here tomorrow!
