On being Tongan today

Aisea (one of the Bible and Electronic Media class) has an interesting post on being Tongan. It's a fascinating meditation from a young man who has grown up and been educated in two very different "worlds".

Paradoxically this post is highly conservative, yet Aisea has an earlier post "How do we deal with changes?" which compares articles by Sven Birkets and Howard Rheingold from Writing Material: Readings from Plato to the Digital Age Evelyn Tribble (Temple University) and Anne Trubek (Oberlin College), which starts with a quote from Birkets that begins "A change is upon us – nothing could be clearer."

This tension is where we all live today.
