In a comment that to another post on ancient hebrew poetry I mention that in a radio interview that I listened to as a podcast from ABC (when will I start just saying an ABC podcast?) George Brooke from Manchester made the almost throwaway remark that some of the prayers from the DSS c/should be used in church today. But isn't it nice that 60 years after being delivered from their womblike caves the Scrolls continue to provoke puzzlement and debate, to evoke wonder and excitement. I'm nearly sixty now, I do hope both the scrolls and I can continue to provoke and evoke for a few more years!
